    The Czech poet Jan Neruda (famous for his short stories, Tales of Malá Strana) lived at the House of the Two Suns from 1845 to 1857.

  • Martin House

    The Julian Alps

    The 17th-century Martin House leans on part of the Old Town wall. It has a wooden 1st floor, a late-Gothic portal and a vaulted entrance hall.

    Martin Luther delivered his last sermons in the St Andreaskirche, a late-Gothic hall church on the hill behind the central Markt.

  • Water Tower

    The Water Tower, built between 1451 and 1473, is part of the city wall and ramparts. Many of the blocks used are of Roman origin.
