The former towpath that ran alongside the Delaware River has been converted into a 60-mile walking and cycling path that runs right alongside the riverfront of New Hope. The old stone Locktender's House (145 S Main St) is now headquarters of Friends of the Delaware Canal, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and improving the canal and its towpath; inside are some exhibits on the old towpath.
