Derek Walcott Square

St Lucia

This central square is named for local writer Derek Walcott, who won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1992. It's a quiet park that seems somehow isolated from the bustle of the surrounding streets. There are a couple of attractive wooden buildings on the south side.
