Puerto Rico's first national museum was founded in 1951, home to some of its most important cultural pieces, including Francisco Oller's El Velorio, historical documents and archaeological artifacts dating back over a thousand years. It also hosts temporary exhibits. It's located on the tropical campus of the University of Puerto Rico.
