Brown signs lead off old Hwy 23 to this fortified mud-brick mansion house. Built possibly around 300 years ago, and now buried in the Ibra suburbs on the edge of the town's plantations, it has been well restored and is noteworthy for the falaj (irrigation channel) that leads under the entrance way like a mini-moat. There are no official opening hours – just turn up and try your luck.
