Magilligan Martello Tower

On Magilligan Point itself, watching over the entrance to Lough Foyle, stands a well-preserved Martello tower, built during the Napoleonic Wars in 1812 to guard against French invasion. The tower's interior is closed to the public but the surrounding dunes make for a pleasant walk.
