If you’ve ever dreamed about a destination wedding in Hawaii and have a cool $125,000 USD to spend, one resort in Hawaii will help make your platinum trip down the aisle come true.
The islands' lush landscape and gorgeous views of the Pacific draw in thousands of couples each year hoping to tie the knot with Hawaii's natural romantic beauty as a backdrop for their wedding pictures. According to state tourism statistics, in February 2022, more than 19,000 people traveled to Hawaii to either get married or go on their honeymoon.

According to the wedding website The Knot, the average couple spends a little more than $32,000 USD on their Hawaiian nuptials. But just as summer wedding season is about to kick off, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa has released the details of its “Vow to Wow” package for almost quadruple that amount.
The price tag: $125,000 USD (€114,850).
What will that get you? A three-day celebration at the Maui resort for the couple and 100-200 of their friends and family.

What does a $125,000 Maui wedding package include?
The package begins with a helicopter ride whisking the happy couple away to tour Maui from the air.

After getting a bird's eye view of Maui's natural wonders, the couple heads to the spa to relax before the full festivities begin. The visit includes a hot stone massage with aromatherapy, a coconut oil spa massage, a foot scrub and then a therapeutic jacuzzi soak.

That evening, instead of the traditional intimate rehearsal dinner, the festivities kick off with a “Drums of the Pacific” Luau to welcome 100-200 guests to the island.
The following day, the couple will tie the knot on the lawn at the resort’s dreamy Halona Kai outdoor venue. The romantic spot serving as a backdrop for the ceremony is "situated above the free-form pool, with panoramic views of the Pacific and palm-fringed Ka'anapali coast."
The package of course includes the basics for the ceremony like “white garden chairs, a wedding ceremony arch, an aisle petal scatter and an eight-inch bridal bouquet” as well as traditional Hawaiian leis, an officiant and a solo musician.

After the couple says "I do," the site transforms into a dynamic reception with a plated dinner, four hours of open bar and a two-tier wedding cake. Along with a DJ, lounge furniture, floral centerpieces and chair arrangements, the package includes six hours of photography and videography and little accents like tropical fruit-infused water stations to quench the thirst of those tearing up the dance floor.
Have an extra $10k to kick around? The resort will throw in an afterparty for up to 300 guests. It offers “customizable party options from DJs to games, to karaoke, and more.” Of course, no late-night party is complete without some snacks so they’ll serve up treats like a Build Your Own Slider station, small bites like potstickers and wings, a dip bar or a Wok and Roll Build a Bowl.
On the final day, the package sends off guests with a farewell buffet brunch at the resort’s Japengo restaurant which provides sweeping ocean views. Of course, no celebratory brunch is complete without a Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar.
More affordable ceremony options
If $125,000 is a bit too much for your budget (and for most of us it is), know not every package in Hawaii requires a six-figure budget or 3 days of over-the-top festivities.
Shop around and ask what's available for your budget. For instance, for those looking for a more intimate microwedding, the Hyatt Regency Maui offers a “Just the Two of Us” package starting at $4,900 for 4 guests.
For that price, the happy couple gets an ocean view ceremony setting, a wedding rehearsal, chairs, an officiant, Hawaiian leis, a bottle of sparkling wine and a fruit-infused water station for a maximum of 4 guests.
