Ban Po Thar

Penang

This seven-tier, 30m-high tower is one of the most striking features of Kek Lok Si Temple. Completed in 1927, the octagonal pagoda is Burmese at the top, Chinese at the bottom and Thai in between. Enter through the main door and climb the stairs behind the Buddha statue; they lead to the top for expansive views of the temple complex, along with a panorama of distant forests and skyscrapers.
