Fukagawa Edo Museum

Asakusa & Sumida River

During the Edo period (1603–1868), Fukagawa was a typical working-class neighbourhood, with narrow alleys and tenement homes. You can get an idea of what it looked like at this museum which features a full-scale recreation of an Edo-era streetscape complete with a fire-lookout tower, buildings you can enter and furnished rooms.
