This is the main walking area along the waterfront, where you’ll find paved walking paths that meander past blooming planter boxes and the occasional tree. While the traffic still buzzes by, it’s an almost relaxing place for a stroll. As you walk east there are racing pirogues (outrigger canoes) lined up on the pebbly shore.

Local teams can be seen practising some afternoons and every Saturday morning.
