At street level, it's easy to accidentally hurry past St Vedast, but it's worth slowing down and stepping back to admire the three-layered baroque church steeple before seeking out the small garden hidden down an alleyway. Inside, plaster ceiling is detailed with gold and varnished aluminium leaf, created in 17th-century style after the church was damaged in the Blitz.
