Bein Al Qasreen

Cairo

The section of Sharia Al Muizz north of Khan Al Khalili’s gold district is called Bein Al Qasreen (Palace Walk), a reminder of the Fatimid-era palace complexes that once flanked the street here. Today the great Mamluk complexes lining the road provide one of Cairo’s most impressive assemblies of minarets, domes and striped-stone facades.
