About 25km southeast of the city, Daisy Hill is home to fat, happy-looking koalas – but this is no zoo. The surrounding conservation park is an important koala habitat, and the centre is designed to acquaint visitors with koalas on a comprehensive level (no koala photos or cuddling involved). There are also some great picnic and bushwalking spots here, plus bird life and other fuzzy natives on the loose.
