The amendments lifted restrictions on payment and financing terms for authorized exports such as software, telecommunications, and agriculture, and authorized additional travel purposes for US citizens visiting Cuba. People may now travel to the country for temporary sojourn, public performances, professional meetings, clinics and workshops, and athletic competitions, among others.
