Members of the public will be able to attend the burial of Richard III. The king, famously depicted as a hunchbacked villain by William Shakespeare, was killed in battle in 1485 and his remains were found in a car park in Leicester in 2012. They will be placed in a tomb in Leicester Cathedral in a reburial ceremony on 26 March 2015. Two hundred tickets for the service – a third of the cathedral’s capacity – will be available to the public via a ballot. The ceremony is part of wider celebrations across the city.
