India is battening down the hatches for the arrival of Tropical Cyclone Hudhud, which is expected to make landfall on the east coast this weekend. Emergency measures are being put in place in Odisha , which is expecting a direct hit from the storm front. The state is particularly vulnerable to extreme weather events because of the number of tribal people living in ‘kutcha’ houses, made from mud, sticks and straw.
