Tia Seu Lupe

American Samoa

The most accessible of American Samoa’s fascinating star mounds is secreted behind a statue of St Mary near the huge Catholic cathedral in Tafuna. Tia Seu Lupe has a viewing platform where you get a good look at the two distinct tiers of the structure, without disturbing the ancient site. The name literally means ‘earthen mound to catch pigeons’.
